Overview
Bear Mountain Golf Course is a 9-hole, par-35 layout at the base of Bear Mountain ski resort in Big Bear Lake, and at about 7,000 feet it is one of the highest courses in Southern California. Built in 1948, it plays about 2,780 yards from the back tees, with bentgrass fairways and mountain views, and the thin air adds carry to every shot. It operates only in summer and is closed in winter; the resort lists 2026 rates of $45-$65 for nine holes and $68-$98 for two loops, cart included.
