Overview
The Cal Club sits on a windswept hillside in South San Francisco, where broad slopes, fescue fairways and big, sprawling bunkers frame views of cypress trees and the city. Opened in 1926 to an A.V. Macan design with early MacKenzie input, it was transformed by Kyle Phillips in a 2007-08 project that blended restoration and redesign. It is a private, members-and-guests club regularly ranked among the top courses in the country.
