Overview
One of the oldest clubs in the East Bay, Claremont dates to 1903 and its hillside course was reworked by Alister MacKenzie in the 1920s, with later restoration work by Tom Doak's team and Jim Urbina. At par 68 and about 5,500 yards it is short, but terraced holes, bold bunkering and sloping greens make it demanding, and the terrain makes walking strenuous. Membership is private.
