Overview
The Eagle Course is Eglin Air Force Base's 18-hole course. It descends from a 1927 Langford & Moreau design built for the old Valparaiso Country Club, and the government bought it in 1949. On the 6th and 7th holes you hit blind tee shots over a hill and ring a bell to tell the group behind it is clear, and the practice complex includes a lighted range and putting green. Access follows Eglin AFB installation rules for military, DoD and authorized guests. Eglin closed its nine-hole Falcon course in January 2025 and said the Eagle course would stay open.
