Overview
Houston Country Club, founded in 1908, moved to its current west-side site off Memorial Drive, where Robert Trent Jones Sr. laid out the course that opened in 1957. The tree-lined parkland routing has fairly open fairways, prominent bunkering and raised greens, with little water in play. Coore & Crenshaw later renovated it.
