Overview
Built in 1956 by Joseph Bartholomew Sr. in Pontchartrain Park as a course for Black golfers, this city-owned muni was renamed in his honor in 1979. Wrecked by Hurricane Katrina, it was rebuilt with enlarged Emerald Bermuda greens and reopened in 2011, keeping the wide fairways of the original routing. A newer clubhouse, double-ended range and First Tee facility round out the site.
