Overview
Kings River Golf & Country Club is a member-owned private 18-hole club beside the Kings River near Kingsburg, founded in 1955 by local Kiwanis members. Its first nine was laid out by original pro Nick Lombardo and the second by Bob Baldock; the layout features small, well-guarded greens, out-of-bounds on many holes and mature trees that punish wayward shots. The club hosted the LPGA Tour's Kings River Open in 1968, won by Kathy Whitworth.
