Lakewood Golf Club

Overview

Lakewood opened in 1961 in Algiers as Lakewood Country Club and hosted the PGA Tour's New Orleans Open from 1963 to 1988. Now a daily-fee club with optional memberships, it plays to just over 7,000 yards on a Ron Garl design with plenty of water and around 40 bunkers. It is also known for one of the area's best practice and short-game facilities.
