Oak Harbor Golf Club

Overview

Oak Harbor is a 1992 Lee Schmitt design in Slidell whose mounding, native grasses, lakes and railroad-tie-framed greens recall a Pete Dye layout. Water threatens tee shots on holes like the 7th and the 174-yard 15th and runs alongside the 8th and 18th, making it a demanding, risk-reward test at nearly 6,900 yards from the Blue tees. The clubhouse houses the South Side Cafe with a veranda overlooking the course.
