Overview
Founded as Alamo Country Club in 1921, this member-owned club near the South Texas Medical Center plays a par-71 A.W. Tillinghast design known for its small greens and deep bunkers among mature oaks. Jay Morrish led a return toward Tillinghast's intent in the 1980s and Tripp Davis completed a tees, greens and bunker renovation in 2018. It hosted the Texas Open 23 times and the 1987 Tour Championship, and more recently USGA amateur championships.
