Overview
La Costa's longer layout, called the Champions Course until Gil Hanse's renovation, reopened as the North Course on June 1, 2024, and now stretches to 7,500 yards from the back tees. Hanse took out the man-made ponds and added natural barrancas with native plantings, a drivable par-4 11th and a par-5 18th of more than 600 yards. It is open to members and resort guests and is the venue for the NCAA Division I golf championships.
