Permian Basin Golf Course

Overview

Nine-hole course opened in 1969 as Martin County Country Club and now part of the Permian Basin Golf & RV Resort, about 11 miles east of Midland off I-20. The open, bunkerless layout is lined with mesquite, mulberry and cypress trees, has water on only one hole, and has small, sloping bentgrass greens; the longest hole is the 563-yard par-5 6th. The resort's site says six greens are being rebuilt and only part of the course is open during the renovation, though range balls are free for guests.
