Overview
Known locally as "Big Rec," this city-owned course dates to 1910 as the original site of Virginia Country Club and became Long Beach's municipal links in the 1920s. It is a classic, mature parkland layout with a landmark clubhouse; its bunkers were all rebuilt in 2013-14, and PGA Tour players Paul Goydos and John Merrick grew up playing here.
