Overview

Temple's city course dates to 1922 and was formerly known as Sammons Park Golf Course. The par-70 layout stretches to about 6,560 yards from the back tees, and a renovation earned it a spot on Golf Advisor's 2019 list of most improved U.S. courses. A driving range, short-game area and clubhouse grill round out the facility.

⏰ Best times to play: Central Texas summers are hot, so early-morning tee times are the most comfortable; recent reviews mention slow weekend rounds, so weekday play moves faster.
