San Diego Country Club

Overview

Founded in 1897 and moved to its 160-acre Chula Vista site in 1920, San Diego Country Club is a member-owned private club whose William Watson course was billed as Southern California's first all-grass 18. It has hosted USGA women's championships, and a 2026-27 restoration led by Brian Schneider of Renaissance Golf Design aims to recover Watson's original design.
