Overview
Tripp Davis routed this layout over 165 rolling acres of meadow, hardwoods and East Texas pines, with heavy bunkering, pronounced fairway undulation and several ponds. Formerly the city-owned Raven Nest Golf Club, it was bought by Sam Houston State University in 2020, rebranded the Bearkat Course, and serves as home to the Bearkat golf teams while remaining open to the public at a low daily rate.
