Coore and Crenshaw's minimalist desert design sits on the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation with no homes in sight, only saguaros and views of Four Peaks and the McDowell Mountains. Firm fairways, wide angles and ground-game options give it a links-like feel unusual for Arizona, and it is one of the most walkable desert courses in the region.
