Overview
Salado del Rio is the more scenic of the two 18-hole courses at JBSA-Fort Sam Houston, following Salado Creek with tight, tree-lined fairways, blind shots and water in play. All JBSA courses are open to non-DoD golfers, but civilians without base access must arrange a sponsored base pass through the golf course; listed fees are the non-DoD civilian rates ($30 walk/$45 ride), with lower rates for active duty and DoD patrons. Tee times are booked through The Greens @ JBSA app or by phone.
