Overview
Founded in 1904 and moved to its current Alamo Heights-area site in 1907, San Antonio Country Club is one of the oldest clubs in Texas and a founding member of the Texas Golf Association. Its Alex Findlay-designed course is a traditional, tree-lined parkland layout with narrow fairways and small greens that reward accuracy over power. A 2004 renovation by Brian Silva updated the course with Bermuda fairways and greens, and the back nine runs past stately homes of the surrounding neighborhood.
