Overview
Heron is the original Willard Byrd course at The Oaks Club, dating to 1980 and renovated in 2015 by Hurdzan Fry's Jason Straka with TifEagle greens and Celebration Bermuda fairways. It plays a little shorter and gentler than its sister Eagle course, with many tee combinations down to about 4,200 yards. Access is limited to members, who join through home ownership in the club's gated communities.
